Open A Zip is a free, browser-based tool that lets you open, browse, preview, and extract archive files (ZIP, RAR, 7Z, TAR.GZ, and other formats). All file processing happens locally in your browser. No files are uploaded to our servers.

Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Use the Service to process files that you do not have the right to access.
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service in a manner that degrades performance for other users.

Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, code, and content (excluding user-provided files) are the property of Open A Zip. The Service may include third-party open-source components governed by their own licenses. You may use the Service for personal and commercial purposes (opening your own archives), but you may not copy, redistribute, or resell the Service itself.

Your Files

You retain all rights to the files you process using the Service. Since processing is entirely local, we do not receive, store, or claim any rights over your files.

No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• All archive formats or files will be supported or processed correctly.
• The Service will meet your specific requirements.

Processing depends on your browser's capabilities and available memory. Very large archives may not work on all devices.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Open A Zip and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Availability

We strive to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uptime. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
